DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDark Dream Cinema is a monthly film series devoted to the creeping undercurrents of the arthouse scene\, hosted by Michael Morlaine. \n\n\n\n“Visually stunning\, sonically appealing\, and disturbingly still relevant.” Michael Cavendar \n\n\n\nPink (Bob Geldof) is a superstar with some serious baggage: Haunted by the father he lost in World War II\, hounded by the press and the fans and the industry itself\, and worn down by a growing sense of malaise and disconnect\, he builds an internal barrier between himself and everyone else. Eventually going catatonic\, Pink lapses into a fantasy world of nightmarish images and delusions of grandeur—but faced with his own annihilation\, he’ll need every last ounce of resolve in order to break through the wall.  \n\n\n\nDetailing the mental decay of a rock god who fancies himself a despotic ruler\, The Wall redefined the rock opera and pushed the limits of dark\, surrealistic cinema. Scored with music from Pink Floyd’s immortal concept record\, and interspersed with animated sequences by Gerald Scarfe\, The Wall doubles as both a rousing cinematic experience and a cautionary tale of how easily one can exploit the public’s thirst for celebrity and bigotry as the grounding for outright fascism. In an age in which reality TV stars hijack the White House and jackbooted thugs wage war on American streets\, there’s never been a more urgent time for Pink Floyd’s call to arms than now. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person.
