SUMMARY:VHS NIGHT -- Admission Price: One VHS Tape
DESCRIPTION:We will be playing a VHS tape for all to see\, and it’s up to YOU what we’ll watch! \n\n\n\nBring in a VHS tape\, and you’ll get in FREE! It can be absolutely anything — a forgotten bargain-bin B-movie\, a Hollywood classic\, an aerobics tape\, a training video\, a home movie. Anything!  \n\n\n\nBut there’s an incentive to bring us something good…The crowd will choose one tape to watch with the crowd\, and if your VHS gets picked\, you get a free tab for the night! \n\n\n\nWe collect tapes up until 7 pm sharp\, and everyone gets to make a case for the tape they brought! After that\, we count up the votes and watch the winning tape. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nWhen a screening is sold out\, we open a waitlist 30 minutes before showtime. You must physically come to the lobby to get your name on the waitlist. Seats are released as they become available. All remaining seats are released at showtime.\n\n\n\nAll ages are welcome at Arkadin except for Drinkolas Cage events\, which are restricted to 21+. We follow the MPAA rating guidelines for all other films.\n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased using the BUY TICKETS link above. Upon ordering\, you will receive a confirmation email from Square. Inspired by the romantic fantasy novels Jules Verne\, Invention for Destruction faithfully recreates the line engraving style of the pictures in the original editions of Verne’s work. Combining live actors with drawn animation\, cutouts\, matte paintings\, miniatures\, stop-motion\, and meticulously detailed horizontal line filters\, Zeman produced one of the most astoundingly original works in cinema. Original released in the US as The Fabulous World of Jules Verne\, Invention for Destruction not only went on to become the most successful Czech film in history\, it also basically invented steampunk. \n\n\n\nBut that’s not all! We’ve got some more Verne-inspired fantasia for you in the form of silent maestro Georges Méliès’ brilliant 1904 short The Impossible Voyage\, playing immediately before the feature.
