SUMMARY:World Wide Magazine presents A Granite City Tumbleweed Christmas
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe World Wide Magazine Christmas tradition continues at Arkadin!  \n\n\n\nJim Varagona of The Pete Parisi Archives will introduce a handful of World Wide Magazine Christmas clips and then segue into episode 169 of World Wide Magazine from 1995: Vanessa Vargo in A Granite City Tumbleweed Christmas. See and hear the musical talents of The Little Songbird\, Vanessa\, to celebrate this gala yuletide season. Spend the holiday in the quaint gem of Illinois\, Granite City\, with Jack Calve and Marty! \n\n\n\nWorld Wide Magazine was a public access television program that ran in St. Louis from 1986-2001. Its creator was Peter Parisi who had a previous life in St. Louis radio before the show. The show is a variety of man-on-the-street segments\, goofy skits\, and a collective of colorful characters that gathered around Pete as the years went by. It is weird\, funny\, edgy\, and offensive\, but undoubtedly unforgettable. Since Parisi passed in 2002\, it has gained an additional following from its growing archives on YouTube. \n\n\n\nWe hope to have several members of the cast in attendance for some Q & A.  \n\n\n\nYour $5 ticket goes to further digitize shows from the archive. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. However\, we encourage researching titles to determine if a screening may contain content that could be upsetting to you. Please feel free to contact us for guidance on specific films. Information about content can also be found on Common Sense Media\, IMDB and DoesTheDogDie.com\, as well as through general internet searches. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nAll ages are welcome at Arkadin except for Drinkolas Cage events\, which are restricted to 21+. We follow the MPAA rating guidelines for all other films.\n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased using the BUY TICKETS link above. Upon ordering\, you will receive a confirmation email from Square. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the show at the concession counter.\n\n\n\nIf you’ve purchased advance tickets\, when you arrive\, please give your name at the concession counter to check in. \n\n\n\nTickets are returnable by sending a request through the contact form located on our About Us page prior to showtime.\n\n\n\nWhen an event is sold out\, we reserve the right to release open seats to customers on the waitlist. If you have a pre-purchased ticket and arrive late and there is no seat for you\, your ticket will be refunded.\n\n\n\nAll screenings are held in our indoor theater unless indicated otherwise in the event description above.\n\n\n\nPlease respect your fellow movie-goers by remaining quiet and refraining from using your cell phone throughout the screening.

SUMMARY:Made-For-Cable Christmas Movie with Drinking Game and Cookie Swap sponsored by Nothing Dead Inside
DESCRIPTION:Get in the Christmas spirit with a cheesy rom-com from everyone’s favorite greeting card-based cable network plus drinking game and cookie swap! \n\n\n\nThe stockings are hung by the chimney with care\, there’s a decorated tree in every room and there’s some crisis afoot that’s threatening the magic of Christmas! At least that’s what we assume is happening in the plot of the surprise cable-Christmas movie we’ll be playing at our annual cookie exchange + drinking game! We’ll put on a holiday movie of the greeting-card-company-variety and write a drinking game to go along with it\, à la Drinkolas Cage. You come and play along and bring some of your favorite Christmas cookies to share with the crowd! \n\n\n\nThis evening is sponsored by our own favorite neighborhood cookie makers Nothing Dead Inside\, who bake the tiny\, delicious vegan cookies you can buy at our concession stand. NDI will have samples of some new cookies and will be raffling off prizes for everyone who bring in their own cookies to share! \n\n\n\nTo participate in the raffle you must bring in cookies for the exchange. This event is free to attend.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nAll ages are welcome at Arkadin except for Drinkolas Cage events\, which are restricted to 21+.
