Featuring nearly 12 hours of Poe adaptations\, we’ve got everything from avant-garde silents to stone-cold classics to a mystery WTF disasterpiece you won’t want to miss. Plus THREE movies starring St. Louis’ beloved hometown horror hero\, Vincent Price\, and two FREE events. Each screening is ticketed separately\, so come for a movie or two\, or stay all day … if your nerves can handle it. \n\n\n\n“A moment of genuine brilliance from Corman\, a master class in villainy by Vincent Price\, and a reminder of the enduring power of Poe’s work.” – Fanboys of the Universe \n\n\n\nThis penultimate entry in Roger Corman’s Poe Cycle is also perhaps the greatest Poe film of all time. Vincent Price stars as the diabolical\, devil-worshipping Prince Prospero who reigns over an empire of death and debauchery during the time of the Black Death. Propero’s castle is a haven of depravity amidst the suffering of the plague\, but when a mysterious\, uninvited guest crashes his lavish masquerade ball\, there’ll be hell to pay as the party atmosphere turns into a danse macabre! Featuring eye-popping Cinemascope photography courtesy of DP Nicolas Roeg (who would go on to direct his own horror classic\, Don’t Look Now\, also playing this month)\, The Masque of the Red Death finds Corman at his most ambitious\, Price at his most chilling\, and Poe adapted with the uncanny sense of awe\, mystery\, and black humor his work demands. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nWhen a screening is sold out\, we open a waitlist 30 minutes before showtime. You must physically come to the lobby to get your name on the waitlist. Seats are released as they become available. All remaining seats are released at showtime.\n\n\n\nAll ages are welcome at Arkadin except for Drinkolas Cage events\, which are restricted to 21+. We follow the MPAA rating guidelines for all other films.\n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased using the BUY TICKETS link above. Upon ordering\, you will receive a confirmation email from Square. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the show at the concession counter.\n\n\n\nIf you’ve purchased advance tickets\, when you arrive\, please give your name at the concession counter to check in. \n\n\n\nTickets are returnable by sending a request through the contact form located on our About Us page prior to showtime.\n\n\n\nWhen an event is sold out\, we reserve the right to release open seats to customers on the waitlist.
