While the show became known for its cast of characters\, the early episodes were centered on Pete\, the people that he’d meet\, and the goofy things he’d do. When he first submitted some “movies” that he’d made to STL Cable\, there was no WORLD WIDE MAGAZINE. Episode 1 is entitled Every Day I Use Up A Year’s Worth Of Luck. You’ll see Pete\, the cabbie\, taking his cab around town and interacting with riders. You will see his girlfriend Denise\, who helps him deliver some jokes. The fun of this episode\, aside from Pete’s playful personality early on\, is in seeing the characters that he interacts with\, not knowing they’d end up on TV\, and the places that he goes to that are no more\, like Famous Barr\, the Coral Court Motel\, National supermarket\, and Kroger (yes\, it used to be in St. Louis!). \n\n\n\nWorld Wide Magazine was a public access television program that ran in St. Louis from 1986-2001. Its creator was Peter Parisi who had a previous life in St. Louis radio before the show. The show is a variety of man-on-the-street segments\, goofy skits\, and a collective of colorful characters that gathered around Pete as the years went by. It is weird\, funny\, edgy\, and offensive\, but undoubtedly unforgettable.
