SUMMARY:TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY (2006) -- outdoor screening sponsored by Proper Cannabis
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“★★★★★ – Talladega Nights’ comic punch lands so squarely because there’s no sniping\, no pointing and laughing at the NASCAR culture the movie piggy-backs on… The racing action is as crunching and kinetic as the jokes are funny.” – Total Film \n\n\n\nTalladega Nights turns 20! Praise 8 pounds 6 ounce newborn infant Jesus! Come celebrate two decades of Ricky Bobby with this outdoor screening of Talladega Nights! Born to race fast\, NASCAR superstar Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) lives by one motto: “If you ain’t first\, you’re last.” Backed by his loyal sidekick Cal Naughton Jr. (John C. Reilly) and a life of ridiculous excess\, he rules the track. But when a flamboyant\, snobby French Formula One driver (Sacha Baron Cohen) arrives to claim the crown\, Ricky hits rock bottom. To reclaim his glory\, his family\, and his need for speed\, he must conquer his fears in an utterly unhinged\, high-octane comeback. One of the funniest and sharpest of Ferrell’s collaborations with writer-director Adam McKay\, Talladega Nights is as fresh and funny today as it was two decades ago. \n\n\n\nThis outdoor screening is part of the Stoner Cinema series sponsored by our friends at Proper Cannabis and their product line Daily Driver. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:PINK FLAMINGOS (1972) w/ Divine pre-show @ 6 pm
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Pink Flamingos is the sickest movie ever made. And one of the funniest!” – Newsweek \n\n\n\nOur Summer of John Waters comes to a close with this screening of his magnum opus: the midnight-movie smash that has been torturing audiences for over half a century\, the filthiest movie ever made\, and one of the most drop-dead comedies ever made… Pink Flamingos! Divine is iconic as the wanted criminal hiding out with her family of degenerates in a trailer outside Baltimore while reveling in her tabloid notoriety as the “Filthiest Person Alive.” When a pair of sociopaths (Mink Stole and David Lochary) with a habit of kidnapping women in order to impregnate them attempt to challenge her title\, Divine resolves to show them and the world the true meaning of the word “filth.” Incest\, cannibalism\, shrimping\, and film history’s most legendary gross-out ending—Waters and his merry band of Dreamlanders leave no taboo unsmashed in this gleefully subversive ode to outsiderhood\, in which camp spectacle and pitch-black satire are wielded in an all-out assault on respectability. You’ve been warned… \n\n\n\nCome out early for a tribute to John Waters’ greatest muse\, the one and only Divine\, with a pre-show starting at 6 pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND (1996) -- 30th anniversary screening w/ Muppet pre-show
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“A pleasure from start to finish\, Muppet Treasure Island orchestrates people\, puppets\, shameless gags and sublimely ridiculous production numbers to wryly rework Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic kids’ tale.” – LA Weekly \n\n\n\nNo one adapts literary classics like the Muppets! Just as fun\, full of life\, and surprisingly faithful to its source material as The Muppet Christmas Carol\, Muppet Treasure Island pits Kermit the Frog’s noble Captain Smollett against a deliciously campy Tim Curry as the charming buccaneer Long John Silver\, and all your Muppet favorites are along for journey. Based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s swashbuckling tale of salty dogs and pirate’s gold\, this musical-comedy-action-adventure is packed with catchy sea shanties\, raucous comedy\, and Mr. Bimbo\, the man who lives inside Fozzie Bear’s finger. Come celebrate 30 years of high-seas hilarity with this anniversary screening! \n\n\n\nPlus\, come out early for a Muppet pre-show starting at 1:30 pm\, featuring funny moments from your favorite felt friends. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nWhen a screening is sold out\, we open a waitlist 30 minutes before showtime. SUMMARY:Homer's Odyssey as you've never seen it before... NOSTOS: THE RETURN (1989) presented by Lost in the Arthouse
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLOST IN THE ARTHOUSE is a monthly series hosted by Arkadin co-owner Keith Watson that takes you to hidden corners of filmdom far from Hollywood. From must-see classics to obscurities waiting to be discovered\, these films stand at cinema’s bleeding edge. \n\n\n\n“A poetry of lived quotidian experience that gradually becomes an epic… [Nostos] is simply beautiful. A masterpiece.” – L’Unità \n\n\n\nWhile Christopher Nolan has given us the bombastic big-budget version of The Odyssey\, Italian filmmaker Franco Piavoli’s Nostos: The Return sits at the opposite end of the cinematic spectrum\, a gorgeous\, lyrical meditation on humankind’s relationship to nature and its thirst for exploration that boils Homer’s epic down to a raw\, timeless essence. Filmed in the Mediterranean and told in an imaginary proto-language drawn from Ancient Greek\, Latin\, and Sanskrit\, Nostos transports the viewer back to the dawn of civilization\, reimagining Odysseus’s journey not as an action-adventure yarn but as a journey of the soul. Told with images of haunting power in a style Piavoli described as “symphonic” rather than the “theatrical” mode favored by conventional narrative cinema\, Nostos is\, in its transcendent beauty and cosmic scope\, just as epic as Nolan’s blockbuster version. Rarely screened in the U.S.\, this largely unknown masterpiece of world cinema is crying out for discovery. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. However\, we encourage researching titles to determine if a screening may contain content that could be upsetting to you. Please feel free to contact us for guidance on specific films. SUMMARY:Palestinian comedy classic THE TIME THAT REMAINS (2009) -- fundraiser for the AlHaddad family in Gaza!
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSupport a family in Gaza and enjoy one of the all-time classics of Palestinian cinema! Wear your Pali colors and come to honor the people of Palestine and our beloved AlHaddads.  \n\n\n\n“Sharp as a knife … as close to flawless as a film can be” – Ali Abunimah\, The Electronic Intifada \n\n\n\nJoin us for a special screening of The Time That Remains\, directed by Palestinian filmmaker Elia Suleiman. The film is a semi-biographical film that follows Palestinian life from 1948 to the present day through the story of director Elia Suleiman’s family. The plot is divided into four episodes that depict the filmmaker’s father\, Fouad Suleiman\, as a resistance fighter in 1948\, the struggles of his family under Israeli military rule in the 1960s\, and finally\, Elia’s own experiences as an adolescent and adult. The film uses a comedic and surreal style to portray the daily life\, absurdities\, and humiliations of Palestinians living as a minority in their own homeland. \n\n\n\nAll proceeds from this screening will benefit the AlHaddad family in Gaza. Sameh\, Amani\, and Elien live in the north of Gaza and are struggling to survive. They have lost two infant sons (Mohammed and Wissam) and Sameh’s brother Mahmood was killed in a bombing last October. They are surviving a genocide. Between the constant presence of drones\, bombs\, shells\, gunfire\, and destruction\, there are also rats\, lack of clean water\, limited food\, disease\, extreme heat\, mosquitoes\, and near total destruction of the infrastructure and buildings.  \n\n\n\nExpenses are extremely high\, since borders are closed and Gaza is under a brutal siege. The AlHaddad family needs us to step up and help them. Wear your Pali colors and come to honor the people of Palestine and our beloved AlHaddads. \n\n\n\nThis screening is not available to book with the Club Arkadin pass. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:EARTH'S GREATEST ENEMY (2025) + virtual Q&A with director Abby Martin
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Captures the unfathomable breadth of ecological and human suffering caused by militarism. It covers the cost of war to the oceans\, animal and plant life\, fresh water\, and more. If someone lives in the belly of this military beast\, Earth’s Greatest Enemy should be a required watch.” – Common Dreams \n\n\n\nEarth’s Greatest Enemy\, the second feature film project by Abby Martin\, is a groundbreaking anti-imperialist environmental documentary. Exempt from international climate agreements and rarely scrutinized in mainstream reporting\, the Pentagon is the world’s single largest institutional polluter—spewing carbon\, contaminating water\, and scarring landscapes across the globe. Combining investigative journalism\, striking visuals\, and stories from impacted communities\, this film challenges audiences to rethink the hidden costs of a global military empire and its planetary consequences. Provocative\, urgent\, and eye-opening\, this is a documentary that will change how you see both the military and environmentalism. \n\n\n\nA virtual Q&A with Abby Martin will follow the screening! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:STREET FIGHTER II: THE ANIMATED MOVIE (1994) w/ Street Fighter Video Game Contest presented by Strange Brew
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis film is presented by St. Louis’s long-running cult film series Strange Brew — winner of the 2025 A-List Award for Best Movie Night in St. Louis. Strange Brew programmer Jon Scorfina will provide an introduction. \n\n\n\nStreet Fighter II: The Animated Movie (1994) is a faithful anime adaptation of the very loose story from the hugely popular fighting arcade game Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers produced by Capcom. Chinese Interpol agent Chun-Li seeks the help of American Air Force Captain Guile to infiltrate the criminal organization Shadowlaw\, run by leader M. Bison and his brutal bodyguards Balrog\, Vega and Sagat. Meanwhile\, Japanese martial artist Ryu travels the world seeking a challenger worthy of competition\, since his American training partner Ken Masters has left to start a life with his girlfriend\, Eliza. Soon M. Bison discovers the masterful skills of Ryu and Ken from observing a series of street fights and aims to force the champions to join his criminal syndicate through hypnosis. \n\n\n\nStreet Fighter II: The Animated Movie originally had a limited theatrical release in August of 1994 and doubled as promotion for Street Fighter (1994)\, the live-action film also based on the video game starring Jean-Claude Van Damme that was released in December of that year. Unlike the Hollywood film that was almost immediately panned as one of the worst video game movies ever made\, the Japanese anime film has garnered a devoted following for its accuracy to the source material and its fast-paced animated battles with the colorful cast of fighters\, including Indian yoga master Dhalsim\, Russian wrestler Zangief\, Bruce Lee-knockoff Fei Long\, as well Dee Jay\, T. Hawk Cammy and the Brazilian monster Blanka. The localized English version of the film also features a hard rocking soundtrack of mid ’90s acts like KMFDM\, Alice in Chains\, Silverchair and Korn.       \n\n\n\nStreet Fighter II: The Animated Movie now acts as the perfect primer for the upcoming big-budget Hollywood remake Street Fighter (2026) set to hit theaters on October 16\, 2026.  \n\n\n\nA Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers Video Game Contest will start at 6:30 pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nWhen a screening is sold out\, we open a waitlist 30 minutes before showtime. SUMMARY:PAPERHOUSE (1988) presented by Dark Dream Cinema
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDark Dream Cinema is a monthly film series devoted to the creeping undercurrents of the arthouse scene\, hosted by Michael Morlaine. \n\n\n\n“The story is sufficiently creepy\, never crossing the line into pure horror\, but always treading the darker areas of dream fantasy.” Craig Clarke\, A Green Man Review \n\n\n\nBernard Rose preceded the breakout success of Candyman with this surreal exploration of childhood trauma. Following an injury incurred while playing hooky from school\, young Anna finds herself bedridden\, with nothing to do but draw. So draw she does\, beginning with a landscape\, and then a house\, and then a boy—and soon she finds that her drawings are influencing her dreams\, and creating a world that exists on the other side of the veil. And while she delights in exploring her dream world\, it becomes clear that something wicked resides there as well. \n\n\n\nAn unsettling depiction of childhood fantasy\, Paperhouse occupies a singular niche within ‘80s horror\, and informed such later classics as Pan’s Labyrinth and Stranger Things. With imagery at once startling\, unique\, and deeply imaginative\, it serves as a rumination upon our capacity for strength and courage in the face of encroaching darkness. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET (2007) w/ Stephen Sondheim pre-show @ 6 pm
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“A bloody wonder\, intimate and epic\, horrific and heart-rending as it flies on the wings of Sondheim’s most thunderously exciting score… A spellbinder of breathtaking beauty and terror.” – Rolling Stone \n\n\n\nAn bloody-red\, inky-black adaptation of one of Stephen Sondheim’s razor-sharp revenge opera\, Sweeney Todd is musical theatre at its most deliciously macabre. Johnny Depp stars as the eponymous barber\, who returns to London after years of wrongful exile on a mission to hunt down the judge who destroyed his life. Along the way\, he teams up with the opportunistic Mrs. Lovett (a never-better Helena Bonham Carter) and transforms his barbershop into a slaughterhouse with Mrs. Lovett’s bakery as the perfect cover. Just don’t ask what’s in those meat pies! A tale of obsession set to one of Sondheim’s greatest and most complex scores\, Sweeney Todd remains a scintillating showcase of Tim Burton’s inimitable ability to transform gloomy outsiders into seductive paramours. Gothic\, grisly\, and grimly funny\, Sweeney Todd is always a bloody good time. \n\n\n\nCome out before the film for a Stephen Sondheim pre-show starting at 6 pm\, featuring clips of the musical maestro’s finest compositions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nWhen a screening is sold out\, we open a waitlist 30 minutes before showtime. SUMMARY:LAUREL & HARDY: Four Classic Shorts!
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“They were the funniest comedy team in the world.” – Lou Costello \n\n\n\nOne of the greatest comedy teams ever to grace the silver screen\, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy starred together in over 100 shorts and features. Laurel was the childlike\, bewildered innocent\, and Hardy\, the pompous\, self‑regarding ass\, perpetually irritated by his cohort. Together\, they are perfectly balanced comedic foils whose mutual dimwittedness always leads to hilariously escalating misunderstandings\, mishaps\, and impeccable comedic chaos. We pay tribute to the legendary duo with a program of four of their funniest shorts! \n\n\n\nBIG BUSINESSIn this classic silent short\, Laurel & Hardy are selling Christmas trees door‑to‑door and happen to pick the worst customer imaginable\, escalating a petty argument into a glorious\, house‑destroying war. \n\n\n\nBLOTTOHardy sneaks Laurel out for a night of boozy revelry\, unaware Laurel’s wife has swapped their liquor with cold tea mixed with hot sauce and myriad spices\, leading to a night of drunken bravado powered entirely by their own stupidity. \n\n\n\nBRATSIn one of the duo’s most surreal shorts\, Laurel and Hardy play both themselves and their own mischievous\, oversized children as a quiet night turns into slapstick chaos. \n\n\n\nHOG WILDHardy’s rooftop radio antenna becomes a death trap as Laurel “helps\,” turning a simple repair job into a jaw-dropping demolition derby around (and above) the neighborhood. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nWhen a screening is sold out\, we open a waitlist 30 minutes before showtime. Moving\, funny\, heartbreaking and ultimately hopeful.” -Alonso Duralde \n\n\n\nOne of the greatest of all silent films\, King Vidor’s masterpiece captures life in fast-paced 1920s New York City from the perspective of an “average Joe” whom the camera just happens to pick right out of the crowd. A work of thrilling proletarian melodrama\, featuring some of the most remarkable camerawork committed to celluloid\, The Crowd is a depiction of economic and domestic struggle right on the cusp of the Great Depression\, as well as a vital depiction of the exuberant stampede of the city itself—its joys\, its disappointments\, its dreams and realities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:RAW (2016) -- Feminist Cannibal Erotic Body Horror!
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Ferocious and flawless\, Raw grips you from the get go and doesn’t spit you out until the bitter end. Simply incredible.” – IGN \n\n\n\nThe bolt-from-the-blue debut from French provocateur Julia Ducournau (Titane)\, Raw is a wild\, visceral coming-of-age art-horror cannibal jam unlike anything that came before it. Garance Marillier stars as Justine\, a sheltered\, vegetarian veterinary student whose first taste of raw meat during a brutal hazing ritural awakens a ravenous hunger she can’t explain. Justine experiences a body‑horror metamorphosis that’s equal parts tender\, terrifying\, and intoxicating in this weird and wild journey that depicts self‑discovery as a carnivorous fever dream. Filled with indelible images and inedible nightmares\, Raw may just be the greatest allegorical-feminist-cannibal-erotic-body-horror-vet-school-hazing film you’ll ever see. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:C.H.U.D.: Cannibalistic. Humanoid. Underground. Dwellers. (1984) -- Friday Night WTF! -- $5
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFriday Night WTF screenings are cheap\, weird\, and out of control! Cult trashterpieces\, so-bad-they’re-good crapfests\, movies that make you ask “What the hell am I watching?!” — we’ve got ’em all on Friday night. \n\n\n\n“[A] gloriously scuzzy slice of urban sci-fi horror…C.H.U.D. isn’t just essential B-movie viewing. It’s a damp\, strange\, unexpectedly sharp little horror film that’s still growling under the city.” – Collider \n\n\n\nBefore it described MAGA mouth-breathers and internet idiots\, C.H.U.D. stood for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers. Douglas Cheek’s cult ’80s favorite once again crawls out of the sewers and onto the big screen to provide the ultimate underground movie experience. In downtown Manhattan\, a police captain’s hunt for his missing wife uncovers a series of mysterious disappearances in the area. When he extends his search into the tunnels and sewers below\, it soon becomes clear that something monstrous lurks beneath the city streets – and it’s not staying down there much longer! Uniting John Heard and Daniel Stern years before Home Alone and featuring an early appearance by beloved St. Louis native John Goodman\, C.H.U.D. updates the 1950s creature feature for the 1980s with gloriously goopy\, gloppy\, gory results. SUMMARY:THE COOK\, THE THIEF\, HIS WIFE & HER LOVER (1989)
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“A bracingly intelligent and often beautiful work — a chilling black comedy that tells its heartless story in a virtuoso style marked by visual elegance and dark\, ironic wit. Anyone able to stomach its graphic imagery will find it an unsettling but unforgettable movie.” – San Francisco Chronicle \n\n\n\nPeter Greenaway’s notorious masterpiece The Cook\, the Thief\, His Wife & Her Lover is a rich\, decadent five-course meal that leaves your stomach unsettled in the best possible way. The Cook serves up immaculate gourmet dishes in the beautiful Le Hollandais. The Thief holds his tyrannical court in the restaurant\, terrorizing all around him. His wife has a dangerous and illicit passion. And her lover is having the riskiest affair of his life. Starring Helen Mirren and Michael Gambon\, this grisly\, sexy\, venomous tale of cruelty and vengeance combines a brilliantly pulsing Michael Nyman score\, frame-worthy cinematography by Sacha Guitry\, lavish costumes by designer Jean Paul Gaultier\, and real fine dining plates prepared by Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli into a lavish\, outrageous spectacle. Slapped with the deadly NC-17 rating upon its release\, The Cook… went on to become a surprise arthouse smash\, shocking and delighting audiences the world over with its audacious gustatory pleasures and terrors. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:GAMERA: GUARDIAN OF THE UNIVERSE (1995)
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“The greatest kaiju movies ever made!” – Matt Draper \n\n\n\nAfter laying dormant for fifteen years\, Gamera was rebooted for the big screen in a smash hit trilogy masterminded by director Shusuke Kaneko\, writer Kazunori Ito (Ghost in the Shell) and SFX director Shinji Higuchi (who went on to co-direct Shin Godzilla). Trading the campy kid-friendly surrealism of the earlier films for a darker\, more realistic tone and jaw-dropping innovative special effects\, the “Heisei trilogy” are still regarded today as three of the best—if not the very best—kaiju films ever made. This unmissable trio plays on the last three Sundays in September at 3 pm. Each film in the trilogy builds on the previous one but also offers a perfectly satisfying standalone experience! \n\n\n\n\nSept. 13 @ 3 pm — Gamera: Guardian of the Universe (1995)“Modern monster classic” – Toho KingdomFollowing a long absence from the big screen\, Gamera made a triumphant return to form in time for his 30th anniversary\, with upgraded special effects and a more serious tone. Now a guardian deity\, Gamera tussles with a new incarnation of his old foe—the flying monster Gyaos — first in Fukuoka\, and then in a spectacular aerial battle over Tokyo.\n\n\n\nSept. 20 @ 3 pm — Gamera 2: Attack of Legion (1996)“The kind of sequel that all kaiju films should aspire to be” – Cinematical PenguinOne year after the events of the previous Gamera film\, Earth’s ecosystem is under attack by an insect lifeform from outer space bent on colonizing our world. As the city of Sendai is destroyed\, Gamera must protect the planet from the monster Legion and gets some help from Japan’s Self Defense Forces.\n\n\n\nSept. 27 @ 3 pm — Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris (1999)”The greatest giant monster film ever made” – A.D. VisionAs Gyaos monsters begin to attack Japan again\, a young girl — whose parents died during a previous monster conflict — discovers a new creature called Iris. After merging with the girl\, the trauma-powered Iris seeks revenge on Gamera\, who seems to be losing his patience with humankind.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheater Policies\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll seats are first-come\, first-served.\n\n\n\nThe theater opens 30 minutes prior to showtime\, except for “Happy Hour” events and pre-shows when the theater opens at the listed start time.\n\n\n\nWhen a screening is sold out\, we open a waitlist 30 minutes before showtime. SUMMARY:Overlooked coming-of-age classic OLD ENOUGH (1984) presented by Girlhood
DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGirlhood is a semi-regular series hosted by Arkadin co-owner Sarah Baraba that spotlights stories of sisterhood on the silver screen. \n\n\n\n“There is authenticity everywhere in this film\, from the way people speak to the cruelty that sometimes occurs between best friends.” – The Herald \n\n\n\nIn the 1980s there certainly was no dearth of preteen coming-of-age-cinema\, but few that portray the purity\, terror and excitement of that specific time of growing up with the authenticity of the tragically overlooked Old Enough. Every day on her way to the summer camp bus\, 11-year-old Lonnie Sloan (Sarah Boyd) passes a group of neighborhood kids engaged in some mischief that she\, with her upper-class upbringing\, can scarcely fathom. On a morning like any other she encounters the streetwise Karen (Rainbow Harvest)\, who talks sheltered Lonnie into playing hooky and takes her out of her brownstone bubble and into a blue collar world full of shoplifting and Catholicism. The girls couldn’t come from more different backgrounds\, but the exoticism of the other’s life makes their newfound friendship instantly magnetic. Following the girls through a sliver of their summer\, writer-director Marisa Silver captures that feeling of stepping outside of your nest for the first time.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“With their debut film Test Pattern\, Ford announced themselves as an essential new voice in Black cinema\, with a focus on the lives and struggles of Black women. And yet\, against all odds\, Myers’s wacky step-and-repeat characters remain enduringly entertaining.” – The Ringer \n\n\n\n“I put the grrr in swinger\, baby!” a deliciously randy Austin Powers coos near the beginning of The Spy Who Shagged Me\, the the blockbuster go-for-broke sequel to 1997’s breakout hit Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. Mike Myers plays the hits while expanding his coterie of comic grotesques. Austin (Myers)\, Basil Exposition (Michael York)\, Dr. Evil (Myers again)\, Dr. Evil’s petulant son Scott (Seth Green)\, and Dr. Evil’s surprisingly competent second-in-command Number Two (Robert Wagner) are back\, but The Spy Who Shagged Me also introduced us to Dr. Evil’s petit clone Mini-Me (Vern Troyer\, RIP)\, Number Two’s younger self (Rob Lowe)\, American spygirl Felicity Shagwell (Heather Graham)\, and of course the obese cannibalistic Scotsman you love to hate\, Fat Bastard (Myers yet again). This time around\, Austin heads back to the ’60s to keep Dr. Evil from blowing up the world–and\, more importantly\, to get back his mojo! Bigger\, sillier\, and raunchier than its predecessor\, The Spy Who Shagged Me remains outrageously entertaining and serves as a clever\, decidedly out-of-the-box selection in our Fine Young Cannibals series…Now\, get in my belly! \n\n\n\nCome our before the film for a pre-show of classic Mike Myers clips\, starting at 6 pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person. SUMMARY:AUNTIE LEE'S MEAT PIES (1992) -- Friday Night WTF!
\n\n\n\n“It’s schlock of course\, but it’s great schlock… super entertaining (and pretty raunchy at times too).” – lou (rhymes with wow!)\, Letterboxd \n\n\n\nAuntie Lee and her quartet of voluptuous “nieces” are known for making the tastiest meat pies around\, all from Auntie’s top secret recipe which calls for a most unusual type of meat: human. In order to acquire the juiciest flesh\, the girls employ their lusty charms\, luring unsuspecting male strangers into a carnal—and deadly—trap\, in which they’re chopped\, quartered\, and minced. Taking a simple premise and turning it into an increasingly bloody and hallucinogenic nightmare\, Joseph F. Robertson’s Auntie Lee’s Meat Pies heaps on gruesome kills with a healthy side of pitch-black humor. Graced with a cast as strange as the film itself\, including The Karate Kid‘s Pat Morita as a chilled-out sheriff\, The Hills Have Eyes‘ Michael Berryman as simple-minded helper\, and the legendary Karen Black as the Satan-worshipping meat pie maker Auntie Lee\, this one has all the rights ingredients for a Friday Night WTF classic. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films\, as sensitivities vary from person to person.
