This film is presented by St. Louis’s long-running cult film series Strange Brew and will feature a pre-film intro by Strange Brew programmer Jon Scorfina.

On the maiden journey of a new top-of-the-line RV, a group of innocent campers mistakenly witness a horrific human sacrifice performed by a satanic cult in the middle of rural Texas in the grindhouse classic Race with the Devil (1975). The two vacationing couples, led by Warren Oates & Easy Rider‘s Peter Fonda, seek refuge in a nearby town but soon find the locals are much more sinister than they initially seem. After multiple unsettling sabotages, the frightened couples maniacally race their tainted RV to the nearest major city as they realize they are being pursued by killer Satanists. 

Race with the Devil doubles as the ultimate Satanic summertime action thriller, while also being one of the most gonzo car chase flicks caught on celluloid. The insane final chase sequence captures some of the most brazen stunt driving of the Evel Knievel era and climaxes with multiple dangerous explosions that could only be filmed in a bygone period of daring & life-threatening practical effects. The film would go on to inspire Kevin Smith’s Red State and Nicolas Cage’s Drive Angry. 

The Strange Brew cult classic movie night will present the film with the 1990 short police-training VHS video Satanic Cults & Ritual Crime. A Satanic Panic preshow will also screen from 6 to 7 pm.

The theater opens one hour prior to showtime, except for “Happy Hour” events when the theater will open at the event’s start time.

All ages are welcome at Arkadin except for Drinkolas Cage events, which are restricted to 21+. We follow the MPAA rating guidelines for all other films.

If you’ve purchased advance tickets, when you arrive, please give your name at the concession counter to check in.

Tickets are returnable by sending a request through the contact form located on our About Us page prior to showtime.

When an event is sold out, we reserve the right to release open seats to customers on the waitlist. If you have a pre-purchased ticket and arrive late and there is no seat for you, your ticket will be refunded.

All screenings are held in our indoor theater unless indicated otherwise in the event description above.
