Shrek Night: SHREKAOKE — Free Karaoke Happy Hour w/ Drink Specials!

February 7 : 4:30 pm 7:00 pm

Free

It’s Shrek night, baby! Gen Z’s favorite grouchy green ogre takes over Arkadin this February 7 for an evening of fun, fairy tales and flatulence. It’s a night to re-meme-ber!

First up, from 4:30 pm to 7 pm — Slurp some Shrek-green drinks and endure your fellow Shrek heads tuneless warbling during our Shrekaoke happy hour! Sing your favorite Shrek tune or any other damn song you please during our free karaoke sesh on the big screen. Extra points if you can sing all the words to “All Star” without looking at the lyrics. No ticket needed, karaoke is 100% free!

Next up, at 7:15 pm, it’s the main event: The OG SHREK on the big screen! Relive (or experience for the first time) anti-social ogre Shrek’s (Mike Myers) quest to retrieve the beautiful Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) from the clutches of a fire-breathing dragon. Delight as Shrek reluctantly teams up with a wisecracking donkey (Eddie Murphy) and encounters all manner of fairy-tale parodies and light innuendo while learning a little something about inner beauty. There will also be a costume contest with prizes for the most brilliant and extravagant Shrek-inspired ensemble!

Finally, to close out the night, at 9:15 pm, Arkadin presents SHREK RETOLD, a hallucinogenic scene-for-scene retelling of Shrek made by over 200 creators. Mixing live-action and animation, the film is the brainchild of mad-genius Youtuber Grant Duffrin. It’s a bizarre and lovable tribute to the Dreamworks classic that will delight and befuddle you, whether you’re a Shrek lifer or a Shrek skeptic.

Arkadin does not generally provide advisories about subject matter or potentially triggering content in films, as sensitivities vary from person to person.
