Between 1946 and 1958, the United States of America conducted 67 known nuclear weapons tests in the Marshall Islands, on Bikini and Enewetak Atolls. Decades later, thousands of Marshallese survivors and their descendants now live in the United States and one such community has settled on the plains of Enid, Oklahoma. 67 BOMBS TO ENID is an intimate, character-driven documentary that weaves first-hand accounts of the detonations with the testimony of the generation born after — tracing displacement, generational trauma, and a community’s insistence on joy and cultural pride in the unlikeliest of American towns. It speaks to the need for durable solutions to the harms caused by the nuclear legacy, as well as the Marshallese peoples continued pursuit of nuclear justice. Executive Produced by Errol Morris.
