STLVS PRESENTS martial arts legends Donnie Yen and Yuen Woo-Ping in a decidedly different kung fu context with MISMATCHED COUPLES on Monday, January 12th! Though these two are most known for kicking asses in films like HERO, IP MAN, IRON MONKEY, and SNAKE IN EAGLE’S SHADOW (to name a few) this film is an absolutely freaky, comedy classic that focuses on competitive breakdancing. That’s right…Donnie’s character Eddie is a breakdance battler and is hopelessly lost in love. Yuen, in a slapstick supporting role as Mini, causes serious problems wherever he goes… It’s a surprisingly funny and frantic experience, and a film that hasn’t really been properly released in the United States. From Tsui Hark’s Cinema City production company, MISMATCHED COUPLES is a fresh and funky start to your New Year!
