BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (1992) — fundraiser for Missouri Abortion Fund!
October 10 : 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
“Delightfully camp!” – The Guardian
Before Sarah Michelle Gellar took up the wooden stake in the iconic WB series, Kristy Swanson donned a cheerleader’s uniform and kicked some bloodsucker butt in the cult-classic comedy that started it all! Swanson stars as blonde, bouncy Buffy Summers, a typical high school girl whose goal in life is to “marry Christian Slater and die.” But all that changes when a strange man (Donald Sutherland) informs her she’s been chosen by fate to kill vampires. With the help of a romantic rebel (Luke Perry), Buffy is soon spending school nights protecting L.A. from Lothos, the Vampire King (Rutger Hauer), his sidekick Lefty (Paul Ruebens) and their determined gang of the undead. Though writer Joss Whedon felt the film trivialized his vision, the OG Buffy the Vampire Slayer remains a bright, breezy, oh-so-fun romp into the Hellmouth. So how loose is your goose? My goose is totally loose…
Buffy is playing twice, once at 4:30 pm and again at 7 pm. Select your showtime at checkout.
ALL TICKET PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT BENEFIT MISSOURI ABORTION FUND. Missouri Abortion Fund is a non-profit committed to funding Missourians who need assistance paying for their abortions. The only requirement to receive funding is being a Missourian. MoAF allocates funds directly to clinic partners. They then distribute those funds to help cover Missourians’ abortions.
