BURNING VENGEANCE (1989) presented by Fist City

November 11 : 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

Free

Fist City is a monthly series by The Saint Louis Video Society that pulls the most obscure, weird and rarely seen/ screened VHS Tapes from their archive and brings them to the Arkadin screen…for FREE!

Join FIST CITY in November for BURNING VENGEANCE (1989), and behold the power of “Brock Genesis”—the homunculus son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joe Don Baker. That’s right, actor/bodybuilder/body double Robert Pentz was not only a stand-in for Arnold Schwarzenegger, but also has a heavy, southern-fried, Carolina accent that makes for an off-kilter viewing experience. The aptly named BURNING VENGEANCE focuses on Brock’s hunt for justice after the death of his undercover agent brother. We’re also told another brother of his died, and his family was killed in a flashback, or something. It’s all a little hazy, but WE DO KNOW that Brock is a deadly killing machine that every character can’t stop talking about.

This film is an incredible passion project from co-star/writer/producer/director/stunt coordinator Ronald Ross, who has performed stuntwork on everything from blaxploitation movies (SLAUGHTER, CLEOPATRA JONES) to Corman films (DEATHRACE 2000, EAT MY DUST) to 90s action movies (BAD BOYS, PASSENGER 57). The unusual pedigree of the filmmaker and star may be enough to pique most people’s interest—now add in the wild, violent traps that Brock Genesis sets and the incredible, explosive finale, and you have a pretty unforgettable combination! Do not miss your chance to see this rare film that has not made it to DVD or Blu Ray, and lives within the same wild headspace as rediscovered action classics like ACTION U.S.A., MIAMI CONNECTION, and GETEVEN!
