CRYSTAL HEART (1986) presented by St. Louis Video Society

SAINT LOUIS VIDEO SOCIETY digs deep in its extensive archives to present the weirdest, wildest, most incredible VHS obscurities. Always free, always presented by Video Society archivist James Milam!

This February, SAINT LOUIS VIDEO SOCIETY PRESENTS an extremely unique love story, CRYSTAL HEART (1986). It’s about a boy in an ornate, hermetically-sealed living environment falling for a burgeoning pop star, who he woos the only way he knows how—by writing HIT SONGS! That’s right, just like John Travolta’s 1976 TV movie, The Boy in the Plastic Bubble, this film is inspired by the tragedies of “real Bubble Boys” David Vetter and Ted DeVita. Add to the mix Tawny Kitaen, nearing the height of her “80s video vixen” era, and you’ve got sensory overload.

This is a one night only screening of a film that never escaped the VHS format, so don’t miss it on Monday, February 9th at 7pm! We’ll also have a “bubble-centric” pre-show that starts at 6:30pm!
