Holiday Cocktail Party with THE THIN MAN (1934) — cocktail hour at 6:30 pm

December 23 : 7:30 pm 9:00 pm

Have a merry boozy Christmas at Arkadin with our holiday cocktail party, featuring the most punch-drunk Christmas film of them all, THE THIN MAN! Cocktail hour starts at 6:30 pm with seasonal drinks (alcoholic and NA) with some cozy, jazzy ambiance on the big screen. Then, the feature starts at 7:30 pm!

The next person who says Merry Christmas to me, I’ll kill ’em. The funniest classic kinda-Christmas movie, THE THIN MAN was such a smash that it warranted a slew of sequels. William Powell and Myrna Loy star as the crime-solving, cocktail-quaffing married couple Nick and Nora Charles, two adorable tipplers with more chemistry than Pierre and Marie Curie. Funny, brash, and patently ridiculous, with the wittiest of dialogue and the most fabulous physical comedy, the film is screwball meets murder mystery, with gallons of booze on the side. Released just after Prohibition was lifted, THE THIN MAN practically invented drinking, so pour yourself a drink (or, rather, have one of our bartenders do it for you), and raise a glass to your new holiday tradition.
