“A QUEER CULT CLASSIC… Are there any lesbian films where they just fall in love and have fun and don’t die at the end? The answer is D.E.B.S.” – Vulture

Fun, frisky, and fancy-free, D.E.B.S. is the queer Charlie’s Angels spoof you need in your life! Initially dismissed by the critics as a misbegotten attempt to titillate a horny young male audience, this piece of pure pop-art fizz is in fact a by-lesbians-for-lesbians delight that, some 20 years after initial release, has found its audience. Written and directed by Angela Robinson, a rare Black queen woman working (however uneasily) within the Hollywood system, D.E.B.S. is a high-spirited spy comedy about a group of women recruited by a secret test embedded within the SAT to a top-secret espionage school run by the federal government. Hilarious complications ensue when one of the newest recruits, Amy (Sara Foster), falls in love with the agency’s highly alluring top villain Lucy (Jordana Brewster). A bona fide queer cult classic, D.E.B.S. holds the worthy distinction of enjoying one of the highest ratings rises on cinephile social media site Letterboxd! The people have spoken: SEE D.E.B.S. NOW!
