November 28 : 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

“Brilliant, bravura and breathtakingly ingenious” – The Post NZ

A gritty, razor-sharp thriller set amidst the halls of a California high school, Rian Johnson’s Brick brings hard-boiled noir into the 21st century. Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Brendan Frye, aloner who skulks the fringes of his school’s interlocking cliques. When his girlfriend turns up dead, he plunges headfirst into the dark and dangerous social strata of his classmates, including rich girl Laura (Nora Zehetner), intimidating Tugger (Noah Fleiss), drug-addled Dode (Noah Segan), seductive Kara (Meagan Good), and the ominous Pin (Lukas Haas). But who can he really trust? Written and directed by Knives Out auteur Rian Johnson, Brick is a scintillating whodunit filled with clever twists, catchy dialogue and an intrinsic feel for high school’s devilishly complex web of social relations.
