Scripted by the legendary Larry Cohen (It’s Alive, God Told Me To), UNCLE SAM is a gory, hilarious, and subversively anti-government with ten times the bloody wit of your standard zombie slasher story. Veteran horror director William Lustig (Maniac, Maniac Cop) brings his typical sleazeriffic virtuosity to this gloriously low-budget horror-comedy, while soul-music legend Isaac Hayes stars as a heroic one-legged Vietnam veteran who helps to save the day. At times goofy, at others surprisingly poignant, UNCLE SAM features the indelible delight of watching one of the great American icons murder a bunch of hapless American citizens.
