SKINAMARINK (2022) — Friday Night WTF!

January 16, 2026 : 9:00 pm 10:45 pm

Friday Night WTF screenings are cheap, weird, and out of control! Cult trashterpieces, so-bad-they’re-good crapfests, movies that make you ask “What the hell am I watching?!” — we’ve got ’em all on Friday night.

“A vessel for the brain’s most frightening hallucinations… it[‘s] one unsettling experience.” – B-Sides & Ballads

What is SKINAMARINK? It can’t be described, it must be experienced. And the only way to truly immerse yourself in its weird, deeply creepy atmosphere is to see it in a pitch-black movie theater where director Kyle Edward Ball’s expertly crafted haunting, experimental visual textures and haunting sound design can burrow their way deep into your soul. Following two children who wake up in the middle of the night to find their father is missing and all the windows and doors in their home have vanished, the film is, depending on who you ask, incredibly boring or gut-wrenchingly terrifying. But there’s no denying one thing: it’s one of the strangest, most original horror films of our time. Who could have guessed that this unsettling little slice of ambient horror, made for $15,000 and inspired by experimental filmmakers like Michael Snow and Chantal Akerman, could somehow climb its way into our collective unconscious. Come on out and bring someone you hate.
